Both the federal government and California maintain Schedules of controlled substances. According to Stats. 1985, ch. 3, §16 the California Schedules were intended to match the federal Schedules, but the two differ. California Schedule I excludes levacetylmethadol (trade name: OrLAAM), but it was federal Schedule II.
