Superior Court

Court case numbers have a prefix, that depend on court location, which is a relic of the old Municipal Court/Superior Court divide. Cases will start off with a Municipal Court number, 2-, 3-, or 4-. After being held to answer at the preliminary hearing, the case will get a new case number with a 5- prefix.
